Terms and conditions
Alpaca Cove
Terms of use
Last updated 8 September 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Evolution Freedom LTD for the Alpaca Cove app.
HomePrivacyTerms
1. The product
Alpaca Cove is software: an iPhone and Android interface for people who already have an Alpaca account. Evolution Freedom LTD provides that software only.
Alpaca Cove is not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, commodity merchant, exchange, clearing firm, custodian, or wallet. We do not open brokerage accounts. We do not hold, receive, or transmit your trading cash or securities. We do not give personal investment, tax, or legal advice.
Brokerage, execution, clearing, custody, buying power, pattern-day-trader rules, options levels, and tax lots are between you and Alpaca (including Alpaca Securities LLC or its affiliates). Read Alpaca's own terms and disclosures. If Alpaca rejects, delays, or fills an order, that is Alpaca's system, not a promise from us.
2. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. You must already have (or be allowed to open) an Alpaca account. You are responsible for that Alpaca account, including whether it is paper or live.
You may not use the app if doing so would break the law in your country, Alpaca's rules, or these terms.
3. Your Cove login and Alpaca link
The email and password you create are for Alpaca Cove only. They are not your Alpaca login. Keep them secret.
If you save Alpaca API keys or connect with OAuth, you authorise Evolution Freedom LTD to use those credentials to display your account and to send instructions you confirm in the app (including buy, sell, option orders, and cancels). Disconnect in Account removes the keys from our servers. It does not close or change your Alpaca account.
You must use your own Alpaca credentials. Do not share live keys. Paper is practice money. Live is real money at Alpaca.
4. Orders and risk
Every order you review and send in Alpaca Cove is an instruction to Alpaca. Fills, partial fills, rejects, and prices are Alpaca's. Markets move. You can lose money, including more than you expect with margin or options. Options can expire worthless. Leveraged and inverse products can decay. Paper trading does not pay real dividends and is not a guarantee of live results.
You are responsible for:
- the orders you confirm, including size, type, limit, stop, and time in force;
- pattern-day-trader, margin, and options-approval rules at Alpaca;
- tax reporting;
- checking the order on Alpaca if the app looks stuck or a fill looks wrong.
Nothing in the app — charts, calendars, estimated option risk, news headlines, or alerts — is a recommendation to buy or sell.
5. Trial and paid access
New sign-ups may receive a 7-day free trial. After that, continued use of paid features requires Pro: $9.99 per month or $199 once (lifetime). Prices are shown in the app and may be converted by the store for your country.
You pay Apple or Google inside the App Store or Google Play when those products are live. Evolution Freedom LTD does not take card numbers on the public website. Cancel or change a subscription in that store's account settings (Google Play subscriptions, or Apple Subscriptions). Deleting the app or the Cove login does not always stop store billing. Use Restore purchases in the Upgrade tab if you reinstall and already paid.
We may change prices or what Pro includes with notice in the store or the app. Store fees are charged by Apple or Google, not as a separate line from us.
6. Acceptable use
Do not try to break, overload, or scrape the service. Do not use it to place orders you are not allowed to place. Do not impersonate anyone. Do not upload malware. We may suspend or delete an account that we reasonably believe is abusing the app, breaking these terms, or putting other users at risk.
7. Intellectual property
Alpaca Cove, the logo, and the software are owned by Evolution Freedom LTD. "Alpaca" and related marks belong to AlpacaDB, Inc. or its affiliates. This app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Alpaca Markets. You get a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the app. You do not get the source code or the right to copy the product as your own.
8. The service can change or stop
Charts, option chains, calendars, and alerts depend on Alpaca and market-data feeds. They can be late, wrong, or down. We may change or withdraw features. We may take the app offline for maintenance. We are not liable for a missed fill, a missed alert, or a decision you made while data was stale.
9. No warranty
The app is provided "as is." To the fullest extent the law allows, Evolution Freedom LTD makes no warranty that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular trade. Market data may differ from other screens.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Evolution Freedom LTD is not liable for lost profits, lost trading opportunity, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for a claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid us for Alpaca Cove in the 12 months before the claim (store fees kept by Apple or Google are not "paid to us"). Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
11. Feedback
If you send an idea or a problem through the Feedback tab, we may use it to improve the product without paying you. Do not send confidential trading strategies you wish to keep secret.
12. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the app at any time. Disconnect Alpaca and, if you pay, cancel in the store. We may end access if you break these terms. Sections about risk, IP, no warranty, and liability still apply after you leave.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the new terms. If you do not accept them, disconnect Alpaca and stop using the app.
14. Contact
Evolution Freedom LTD — Alpaca Cove support and legal notices: evolutioninvestments79@gmail.com
Not investment advice. Investing involves risk, including loss of principal. Have a lawyer review these terms before you rely on them for store submission.
